 Mount Taranaki or Mount Egmont is an active but quiescent stratovolcano in the Taranaki region on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island.  Lake Wanaka is located in the Otago region of New Zealand, at an altitude of 300 metres. Covering an area of 192 km² (74 sq mi), it is New Zealand's fourth largest lake and estimated to be more than 300 m (980 ft) deep.
